The rules were 1000+ posts and member before Dec 99. I just don't have the number of posts yet. I guess I need to be like Scorp and a few others over in off topic and put smiley faces on everything and do an average of 30+ posts a day

I do believe you've hit on something. Most of these guys with huge post counts have gotten there with smiley faces and "me too" type posts. For some time it was thought to be funny to add a post that was stated to be adding to their post count. I understand this is a no no now. I never understood why anyone would care what their post count was anyway. If you have something to contribute or a point you want to make, post away. If you have nothing worthwhile to say, why not just read and learn. Now it seems that those who did this in the past are being rewarded and those who want to do it now get penalized. Oh well. the price is right and I've learned a lot here. I've even learned from those post count padders. :D
