Default Need some help with rebuild parts!! PLEASE! :)

Ok, I spun a rod bearing in my '94 (sound confirmed by 2 engine guru's).

Here's what I've got right now, tell me if I need to change something:

$750 Labor (remove, rebuild, replace)
$995 Eagle cast crank, Eagle I beam rods, TRW forged pistons, Speed-Pro rings, Clevite 77 bearings (not sure if H series or not).
$200 Ford 24# injectors
$250 Cam (undesided - taking suggestions)
$400 machining???
$250 misc (like gaskets, oil pump, etc....)

I'm doing the computer myself... (i hope). Haven't decided on LT1 edit or TunerCAT

What do recommend I change on the above (part or price)? If my rods are ok, I'll just have the reconditioned and reuse them.

Not sure if I would reused the rods or not.. depends on if you plan on a power adder.. If you reuse the stock rods.. replace the rod bolts with ARP.. infact use ARP rod, main, and head bolts.

You also don't need ford 24# injectors.. unless your stock ones are shot.. 1994 Vettes came STOCK with 24# injectors. The stock should work fine.

Machining.. depneds on what you want done.. from seeing your other posts if you go to a 383 the machining will be a bit more..

My guess is this is what you will need to do.

Bore Cylinders with Torque Plates.
Recondition Rods
Align hone the crank
Internal Balance rotating assembly
Assembly of Short block?

As for a cam with a 383.. many like the LPE 219.. I think you could go bigger and be happy, but depends what you want to use the car for.. I have the ZZ9 in my 355 and keep thinking of going bigger.. but I decided the 400 SBC I have will get the bigger stuff
