Bolting on a set of Track 1's and I need to know the torque specs. I'm using ARP head bolts and it is for a small block. The cast iron heads use a torque of 65 ft lbs but the aluminum heads require a different setting. Any and all help is greatly apprreciated.
Thanks.
same as cast iron but make sure you use washers with oil under the bolt heads. if you use a different torque spec the cly wall distortion will be different that what was used to hone the bores. :chevy
Re: Torque specs for Brodix heads (clem zahrobsky)
Did you check the Brody web page. My buddy did unequal torque on a set of A heads. But I don't remember why. It seems to me that it was 10 higher around the cylinder bores.
I went to the siite as you guys suggested and got all the info. Thanks for the help guys. The heads I have are the Track ones with a bit of work done to them.
