85 computer switch to an 89
I would like to switch my 85 computer and wiring harness to an 89 computer and harness. I would like to know if anyone has attempted this and if so, can you offer my some advice.

Maybe someone will post it for you. If not check the archives.

Why are you doing this? I updated because I was pissed that Diacom didn't show much information that was useful when tuning. I was going to do the 85 to 89 update just like you.
Bowtye8 (Dennis) and Mojo (Chris) suggested that I go to the 90-92 Camaro ECM, which is identical to the 90-91 Corvette ECM so you can use a Corvette Calibration on it. I am glad they did, because I feel for my purposes, which including tuning my own chips, that this is the most worthwhile investment I have ever made. The price of the Burnoff and MAF relays you will need will be more than the price of a new MAP sensor, so if cost was prohibitive, this would offset it. Also, you need one more computer connector, which can be found at any junkyard for $2.00 in my case.
For details on this, go to http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=119460 It is read only, but I might end up starting up a new one if the ECM/PCM section ever gets started up here.
I know I didn't answer your question, but it all depends on what you want to do. Like I said, I would never ever ever go back!
