Default Lt1/Lt4 igniton and MSD

Does anyone know if you can run an MSD 6AL box with these igniton systems? I don't know much about the ignition systems of these engines and haven't seen anyone using an MSD yet.
Thanks.

You sure can run a MSD 6AL on an LT1/LT4 engine. I have a MSD 6A on mine.MSD has a wiring diagram which shows how to wirw in the box. Hope this helps.

A lot of us run a MSD-6AL on their LT1/4 C4. They even sell a wiring harness to make installation a little easier.

Great, this is the answer I was looking for. I have the ignition system, now all I need is the car.

John, You probably would not see a gain unless you are having problems with the stock setup. The stock setup is very capable, but I run the ignition box mainly because of the Nitrous. I would be interested in seeing if you actaully get results from using one. Maybe I will do a test the next time I make it to the track. They are pretty easy to bypass for a run or two. Problem is I am not as consistent as you guys up there with your automatics ;). I use mine more for peace of mind than a gain.

Did any of you guys need the TACH adapter? I've seen many posts suggesting the need for one.

Thanks

I had to cut out the stock tach filter. I did not buy their additional adapter. It is a one wire splice to bypass it.
