I did put the header on to make sure it would clear before drilling the hole.
one thing to remember is that a pipe tap gets bigger as you go in. so tap a little then check it with the sensor. you don't want the sensor to run out of threads before it gets tight. better to leave at least 3 or 4 threads showing on the sensor, so you have room to torque it down.
if your going to have it done by someone, bring them a sensor to check it with.
