L88 air cleaner drop dimension?
Continuing to work on the airbox conversion and am looking at the L88 air cleaner drop base from Zip; $89 - I don't think so! Anyone tell me what the amount of drop in inches is on theirs so I can hunt aftermarket ones?

If I'm reading this right you're asking about the air cleaner base that the foam ring will rest on to seal w/ the airbox. If so, I used the stock base that came w/ my L36 & it fits perfectly. Maybe you can hunt down one of those for less.

Thanks guys - The $89 is for the drop base only from ZIP. Before I got the airbox, I had the non-funct L88 hood with an aftermarket 3"x14" aircleaner with drop base which I'll have to measure when I get home from work. The AL hi-rise GM rect port intake on my engine was used on the 71/72 454 Camaros with the ram air so I'm not sure how it compares in height with the L88, L36, or other aftermarket intakes. I'll use the 2" as a reference to figure out what drop base I'll need to get within 1"-1.5" of the bottom of the airbox.
