I think there just cast pistons. Is this what you wanted? I saw something about them being rated for 400HP. Does that suit your specifications? You aren't going to be usings NOS or a Blower are you?

Cast pistons will last a long time as long as you dont exceed their capability. I wouldn't push the compression either, because I wouldn't want to do anything that may RATTLE them!

Good Luck

They are a dense cast piston. Not forged.Usually run on "claimer" engines. If your mechanic/machine shop thinks otherwise might be time for new mechanic /machine shop or you furnish all the parts.

TRW L2256F Forged would be a better choice in my opinion.

What heads are you using?

They are Flat top with 4 valve reliefs. 9.75 compression with your heads and a Felpro head gasket. $214.00 and will last a very long time and take much abuse.Well worth the $100 or so extra bucks. They are near slipper skirt design and will knock a little when cold.

What cam and intake manifold and carb are you going to use?

10.1 is plenty for that cam.You will find youself singing the detonation blues. That song is not pretty even with Whitney Houston singing it.
