Bud. It seems to me that 415 is the torque, and 350 or so for the HP. I was going to use this engine, until I could see that GM was not sure how to get all the pieces parts to work. Alot of the major Chevy dealers were even advertising them (I believe there is still one that has it marked for $2679.00 in it's ads nation wide) when they knew very well they couldn't get them. (for over a year) To many conflicting stories for me. I think you can get them now, but the price has go up at least a $1000.00. About the only advantage MIGHT be the warranty. Maybe. Had a 383 built by a local speed shop, and for Less than what GM wanted. Got alot more, for alot less. Gm just is never in to big a rush. Good luck. JCL :cool: :cool: :chevy "Sidepipes are the way"

I've heard of the long wait also. Recent HOT ROD magazine pumped one up to 500 torque with simple cam and intake. Course that required larger springs, Tork Step headers, etc. Dang impressive. Nice thing about it is it has a forged 3.80 crank rather than the normal cast 3.75.
