Default Need help finding a retainer

I posted this in C3 tech.....

I am finishing the assembly of a set of GM Fastburn heads using Comp Cams beehive springs 26918.
I got a set of 795-16 valve retainers (10 deg) from an ebay seller. Original package, great price, etc.
Except when they showed up there were only 15 of the correct retainers in the package along with one flat standard sbc retainer (7 deg). The packaging still had the metal strip seal at the top and the heavy staples in the sides. But someone could have lifted the side just enough to slide one out and another one in.
The seller has no more and is perfectly willing to refund all money. He honestly did not know.
But I would rather just find one retainer.
I emailed a couple of vendors and checked my fav speed/machine shop.
So far Northern Auto has offered to get me a special order but it will run @$15 ($3.15 for the part).
I emailed Comp Cams with no answer and I sat on the phone for 1/2 hr waiting to talk to customer service before I had to hang up.

SO - has anyone got just one they want to sell? or have any suggestions?

TIA

As an alternate to Northern Auto, try Summit Racing. They do sell individual beehive retainers, have 'em in stock, and their shipping might be less. That being said, I wouldn't give up on Comp Cams so soon. Be persistent, send them another e-mail detailing the problem and wait for a response. If you don't hear back from them by close of business on Monday, I'd try calling again. I imagine that worst case they would charge you for shipping the new retainer, but based upon my past experience with them, they might ship it for free.

Finding an used beehive retainer on the forum is really a shot in the dark, but if you can't get one any other way, hit up as many forums that you can to broaden your search. Good Luck!

Txs for the suggestions.
I'll let you know what happens in case anyone else ever has a similar problem.

Final outcome -
Comp Cams sold me a single retainer for $3.59.
Shipping minimum is $10 so I picked up some lube and stuff to spread out the shipping cost.
All is well now.

Now - if they would only get back to me about a custom grind retro roller cam
They sure don't respond like their website says they will. 2 days usually means 2 weeks.
