Any thoughts ? Starting a 383 stroker project. 1984 x-ram/2.16 tbs/90lb inj/comp cam/pe exaust/tpis headers/forged rebuild kit.Also looking for a programble ecm that will retain knock sensor. ?
i wouldn't think so much about manufacturer name. I would only consider the intended use. Like what intake/cam/compression and header choice. then buy the max flowing heads that fit in with the whole equation.
They all work together and you only have one shot to do it right! Just a name doesn't make the most CFM and that is what makes it in the end.
There both great heads! In my opinion Brodix heads need/must be hand ported to bring them up to their full potential. While the AFR heads come dam near fully CNC'D and ready to go.
When you start talking hand ported, you should think $$$$.$$. Even the AFR's in my opinion would benifit from a little hand porting but they require much less than the BRODIX. The Brodix guy's are more than happy to build you what you need/want for a custom price.
