Lets talk heads for a moment

I just checked my records, and I can tell you I ordered my Twisted Wedge Trick Flows, August of 1994.
Since they were a new company in '94...it did take me a year to receive them
(13 months actually...Center-Bolts were put on the backburner, because orders were slow to come in for them). I knew I was going to eventually go to another set of heads...so I took a chance, and waited patiently.
I can also tell you, they are still on my engine, and make gobs of horsepower.
I paid $699 for the pair, and these were Center-bolts (TFS-31400003).
I've done nothing to the heads (installed them right out of the box). I figured, if they didn't do the job...I'd yank them back off, and go with Brodix. I can't begin to tell you how pleased I've been over the years.
At the same time, I installed TPiS' ZZ9 cam and lifters, and the only problem I had with the whole install...was the fact that I had to go to 'longer' pushrods.
I have no idea what Trick Flows are selling for these days, but I would never hesitate to do it all over again.
Good Luck!!

I would most likely get the 1.46 dual springs that handle up to .600 lift. The 1.47 singles handle up to .540 but the 74219 is .560 lift with 1.6 RR. The smallest chamber I've seen is 64cc, dont know what that will do for CR. My stock ones are 56cc or thereabouts. Looks like I can pick up a set of these with a cnc profiled chamber from http://www.totalengineairflow.com for about $1100
Heres some flow data from trick flows website.
http://www.trickflow.com/product/hea...flow_chart.htm
I dug out my sept 2000 issue of gmhtp and looked at the flow numbers from their 'just the facts' cylinder head flow test and they are about the same as these, maybe a tad lower but not much. So far these seem to be the best option unless anyone else has some feedback. I'm not in a big hurry so I can continue to watch, listen and learn from this thread for a while.
I noticed a huge increase in power. If I had to do it again I would go with more intake volume - 215.
I've heard about problems with Summits Trick flows.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
You can't go wrong with the 219 and the super ram. AFR 190's(SR and 219) have sent ralph in to the mid 11's. I know you're not looking to drag race very often. A mild port-polish the cam and heads...and some prom work..and you'll have a VERY quick street car!
Good luck.
