FYI
Will not clear a standard base-circle hydraulic roller cam in a 400 SBC block using a 3.75"-stroke crank.
"But they're clearanced for strokers," you might say.
Yeah, well, my sister-in-law's fat butt is "clearanced for strokers," but that doesn't mean she's going to see any action, either.
Just thought I'd share. Have a happy damn day, OK?

Can't really do anything to the rods since you've got the upgraded cap-screw bolts. There are plenty of other profiles that will fit though. Crower offers several desings that I've used that will work with that combination, and some of thier Sportsman 4340 rods are priced about the same as those Eagle's.
So, anyway, during my re-do of "Project Problem Child," I upgraded to a hydraulic roller. Spent 2 weeks' worth of free evenings ****-retentively setting the endplay and finally got the timing set on for final installation. Thought to myself, "Self, why don't we turn this bad boy over a few times to make sure the timing marks stay indexed before we put on the timing cover and oil pan for the last time?" Got it turned over about 3/4 turn and guess what? Clunk.
