Build a Chevy 383 engine for racing?
Hey guys, I know i am in a foreign forum here from my normal offroad stomping grounds haha! But I need your help, I am in the market for a chevy 383 stroker and it is going into my offroad race truck which is about a 5000lb vehicle in the desert. I need an engine with lots of torque and power and it needs to be reliable. I am on a budget of 4-5k, I have been looking at summits blueprint engines but I would like to know what you guys would rather run? Should i get a crate engine and where from or should i purchase a clean block already stroked and do the installation of parts myself? I would like to see about 400-500 horses with similar torque specs!
I apologize for bringing a different type of vehicle in here but I needed to go somewhere where there would be experience and actual knowledge, please help me here, i am hungry for knowledge!
P.S. My father is a c5 owner!
