Anybody know anything about this tornado thingy
I was watching TV while I was getting ready for work this morning and they had an infomercial that advertised this tornado thingy. I was just wondering if the thing actually did something or if its just some kind of restrictive device.

Well I dunno, I was willing to give something that might actually be a innovative well engineered good idea. But too much of things like gas additives, oil addatives, and lil things like that are a joke. But well I figured if someone actually bought one and had done something with it. Ran it through a engine that being Dynoed. I like empirical data. Call me a dork, But I like a peice of papers with columns of numbers and I can go Hmmmmm.
Anyway thanx

It seems to me that over a year ago someone did a post on those. it was of no change either plus or minus on someones actual dyno runs. The post went on to say is that his toilet at home didn't use vains to get the water to swirl. But he was thinking about adding them to make a new super turbo tornado flusher. He also said, "Just think for a moment how boogus this product is! You get this tornado going on your air flow and then it hit's two or four smaller holes in a carberated application and then it's even broken down again into 8 air directions on a V-8 motor." If you really look at a carb application you need the straightest air flow you can to pull fuel out at the venturies.

I don't really Know anything about it. It looked like something that would restrict airflow and reduce how well things work. But On the flip side I am not an engineer and maybe it worked. Thats why I asked. I figured it would hurt things. So I guess the vortex effect cancelled out the restriction of the device eh?

My opinion on those and many other tv "only" advertized products is, if they were any good they'de be on the shelf in every parts store...and walmart too..
Some tv advertised products are also sold in stores and are more likely to more closely represent what is advertsed.
Whenever its a tv "only" advertised product beware. Many people who buy these products never go thru the hastle of returning thru mail or ups. So then the advertiser can ligitimatly claim they have satisfied customers, even when the product is basically a hoax.
