Default Engine Advice

All right I have a good grasp on engines for the most part but i am looking to upgrade my 04 z. I am considering a 383 shortblock and wanted to know what kind of power I can expect with a moderate head and cam package but retain stock drivabilty and stock reliablity i dont plan on changing spring every couple thousand miles? I see members making around 550 on stock block with some head and cam combos along with other mods.

550 on a stock block without mods to the block I would surely pass on that one!!!

That's why I'm looking at doing a 383 in the short run and maybe a blower. I just have no idea what I can make on a 383, I would like to make 6-650 if possible not blown all motor
