Ill be pulling my engine, to put GM 186 heads on (p&p), erson 1.5 roller rockers &pushrods, performer manifold (not a rpm), flow tech headers, not yet sure what cam to use (268H?).
I dont have the budget to make a fast, strong n/a engine, so I'd like to use nitrous on the setup above. What gaskets etc. should I buy? basically what should I do while everything is apart with nitrous in mind. btw the bottom end will have to stay stock :(

How much NOS do you want to run. There are a lot of things that need upgraded before gaskets to run big shots. Since your bottom end is stock you should keep the NOS in the 150 shot range. Just get some good gaskets, Fel-Pro are very good.
Re: what do I need for Nitrous while motor is out? (Blues77)
I'd like 100-150. Will my bottom end hold up? What will my comp. ratio be with the setup Im running? ( is there a formula to figure that out?) thanks
btw..I see the felpro head gaskets are around $30 compard to the Milodon and some other hardcore ones that get to be around $100. Is there an advantage to going with these (copper ones)?

I do not think you will have a problem with a 150 shot. I would give the NOS maker of the system you are going to use a call and run things by them. You do not want or need copper head gaskets.

Copper gaskets can cause problems for the average lay person to run on the street. I know more than one guy who has had problems with them. There is no need for them on a mild NOS street motor.
Re: what do I need for Nitrous while motor is out? (Corey 68)
I am forced to run copper gaskets on the street but I would not recommend them for everyone. They tend to seep. I like a good composite gasket. If you run 100 HP shot, I also run them square, same jet gas and nitrous around .052 diameter you will not have a problem. No special pistons, no dedicated gas line, pump. NO different plugs or timing. At the 100 hp level nothing gets hurt and the jump in noticable horsepower and quarter mile times is significant. Jumping to 150 HP gets risky and the jump from 100 to 150 is not that noticable.
Run a stock engine, 100HP nitrous and you will be solid in the 13's.

Keep in mind that using nitrous isn't cheap. It won't take many runs, even with 100hp shot, before it's time for a $30 refill. Also keep in mind that a normal nitrous setup adds power only under wot conditions. Even though the same money spent elsewhere might not provide as much power, it can provide power that you can use and enjoy all the time. The ads for nitrous tend to avoid mentioning that either your timing has to be set back, which results in sluggish performance when you are not at wot, or that you spend more money for an ignition box that can adjust timing when the nitrous is activated.
