New Engine
I "think" I want to purchase a new engine or either have the current rebuilt.
C5 Vert, 175k on the clock, bolt-ons, have some piston slap that I didn't notice before, no smoking or excessive oil consumption but I think my baby is tired right now.
I have no clue about all the technical options that are available to me. My goal is to bring my her back life, pull stronger, I'm not looking for 500horses, just more seat of the pants kinda experience. No tracking.
Help me to figure out, do I need to;
a. rebuild lower or upper half
b. new crate motor (LS?)
I have a total budget today of $5K that is burning a hole in my pocket.

my 5.3 has had piston slap since 70k many of them do
GMPP and pace performance have some super crate engines
if it were me id order one up stick it in. Warranteed good to go .
