Default LT1/4 Block Source?

Anyone know of a 92-97 LT1/4 engine block source?

How much $ is standard for such a creature?

Thanks...it will be the start of my 2003 One Lap of America 383...:)

Get yourself a 2 bolt main block out of a Camaro, Firebird or Impala SS and have it machined for splayed caps it will take a lot more abuse.

Thanks Brian...in actuality I will probably stick with a studded two bolt or four bolt as I don't think I will be making enough power to add the extra cost of splaying.

Any one else with a lead on these blocks?

I have a possible in Alabama...I'm headed down there in September, but they sell more complete engines rather than just the blocks.

No one has one in their garage corner???:)

Thanks

I was able to find an 1993 LT1 from a totalled 53k mile Firebird. This engine was posted on a regional mailing list for the f-body forum.

This was a complete shortblock, with cam, lifters, oil pan and heads. I paid $700 about a year and a half ago.

John
