Well its not a zz3 but i have got an l98 with a zz4 cam and big mouth manifold and ASM runners PORTED PLENUM AND 113 HEADS ( 90 CAR )

What did you want to know ?

I am really pleased with it, feels like an easy low 13 sec car, will know for sure in a week or so. ( PREVIOUS BEST WAS 13.9@104 LOTS OF WHEEL SPIN )

Drives nice with a Ed wright chip
I JUST WISH I HAD PUT A BIGGER CAM IN IT ALREADY !!!!!!

Thats my car, except mine is an 89. What kind of chip did Ed do for you ? Any problems with the programming? I/m getting ready for a chip myself and it would help to know how he did on yours (ours) :D

Sorry i did not get back to you sooner
Before i did the heads and cam i had a stage 2 Ed chip ($120 ) it ran strong, my best time at a damp track was 13.9@104, wheel spin was a major issue ( 2.5 60' ). I had to roll out, let it change up to second then nail it back into first. Over last winter i did the heads and cam. when i first fired it up it did not run to good low down but pulled hard from 3000rpm up. I put this down to the chip so i ordered a custom chip from Ed. In the mean time i readjusted the valves on his suggestion and it it ran a lot better
(almost perfect ) :D When i fitted the new chip it ran a lot better, idle speed is slightly higher and pulled smooth now with more power SOTP. Seems to pull harder upto 100mph, but it will be a week or 2 before i get back to the strip to find out for sure :) .So you ask why has it took me so long to get the car ready for track testing ? Well the first time i went out with the new setup i was running fast along my favorite road and met someone coming the other way    I ended up going through a hedge so i have spent the last 3 months and a lot of money getting her back on the road :D :D :D I have no hesitation in recommending Ed his service and product are second to none in my opinion just tell him exactly what mods you have done. Many will say that the only way is to get your car on a dyno, and i agree, but I have not been disappointed with Ed's mail order chip :) :) :)

SORRY TOOK AS LONG AS IT HAS TO GET BACK. WORK CRAZY HOURS. LET ME KNOW WHAT KIND OF TIMES YOU RUN AT THE TRACK. MY BEST TIME TO DATE IS 13.3 AT 104 MPH. THAT WITH THE TOP END M0DS ONLY. STOCK HEADS AND CAM. I AM HOPING FOR 12.5 WITH THE ZZ3 ENGINE AND SAME MODS. CANT PUT LONGTUBE HEADERS ON IT BECAUSE CAR SITS ABOUT 4.5 INCHES OFF GROUND. ZZ3 AND ZZ4 HAS SAME CAM. 208/221@.050 AND .474/.510 LIFT WITH 112LSA.

Happy to see that you are near the time you were looking for. I really feel that you will run atleast another .1 maybe even .2 faster. What were your 60' time and mph? What type of tires are you running? Sorry about all the question. congrats to you!!!

I am running D / Radials, my 60' was 1.91 and the mph was 107.7

I backed this up with a 12.90 at 106 later in the day.

My worst run was 13.05 at 105. I had left it in 2nd from doing my burnout and didn't notice until the car started to slow down

tyre pessure was 22 lbs

my mods are: 1.6 rr, ported plenum, gutted maf, force air induction, k&n filter, air foil, fpr, siamese runners from slp, stock intake ported, jacobs electronic system, tpis stage ll chip, zz3 engine with heads ported, 2500 stall, have 3:54 gear but thinking about going to the 2:73`s original gears. Do you think this gear will work with this setup or stick with the 3.54`s? I am also thinking about putting shorty headers on it.
