Re: Where Can I Get Custom Headers in So Cal? (rick0829)
I had a set of custom shorties built to connect FB heads to my original sidepipes. They were done through Sanderson - when I say "through", it's because they are somehow connected to a place called "Performance Muffler". The guy who did the work is Boyd Ferry. They did a nice job to my spec's and drawings, they fit perfectly. But, like most custom work, they took longer than quoted and were expensive, $800. Took a lot of effort on my part to get the job done.
Re: Where Can I Get Custom Headers in So Cal? (rick0829)
It's been a while, but I think Mark Weiss is still doing them (he did my '27 'T' headers), should be in Santa Anna or Newport phone listings. Also call California Street Rods in Huntington Beach and ask them for references (they may also them in-house). Dan Fink (DF Metalworks, also in HB) would also know top quality people.

Rick: In a few weeks I should be getting my headers customized (2.5" collector replaced by a 3.0"), as well as a custom dual mandrel exhuast.
Its a shop in Lancaster, about 1.5-1.75 hours from you on non-traffic time.
I have seen some import turbo headers he did, although small and silly looking... awesome work.
However they arent single tubes, but welded bits I think....
Anyways, his prices are good ($850 for the whole system, which includes flowmaster mufflers, and flanges all over the place for my wild ideas..)
Email me if you are interested in the shop information. If you just looking and not in a hurry, after my car is done I could probably find a reason to go down to Huntington to show you the results (between mtn biking and scuba diving I shouldnt have a problem finding a good time ;))
