A/F ratio readings
Quick question. I had my car dynoed a few weeks back and the dyno operator told me I was running rich (approx 10.8 AF ratio).
Recently I saw a thread in another section where the poster said that AF ratio readings taken from the tailpipe were different from those at the O2 sensor because he had catalytic convertors on his car. Based on the thread the conclusion I drew was that tailpipes AF readings may not be too accurate if you are running catalytic converters.
What is right? Can I rely on accurate info from the tailpipe sniffer if I have a cat on my car or should I be going off the O2 sensor reading?
The dyno operator told me that if the car has cats then the sensor must be put in the O2 bung and not the tailpipe. It was me that wrote that post. I'd call dynojet and ask them since they make the equipment.

Re: A/F ratio readings (Frank75)
89vette, yes, it was your post that got me thinking. :) I've gotten some good info here and on the threads in the other forums I posted but I might call Dyno Dynamics (thats the sort of dyno I ran on) and ask them for their official version...
Frank75, I posted the same question in a few other forums because the initial response here was slow, FWIW here are the links:
