Check for a vacuum leak first. Also check to make sure that the secondaries are not "stuck" open just a little. Check the linkage for the choke's high idle, it might not be returning all the way. There might be a "idle screw" also on the choke linkage, if there is, back that one off first. If it slows the rpm down, you have linkage issues, if not double check vacuum leak. If nothing found, go ahead and just back off idle speed screw. Hope this helps. Good luck. :cheers:
Its definitely the choke linkage or electric choke itself causing it. Its now releasing causing it to stay at fast idle. I tried adjusting the electric choke clockwise without success.
Damn these Avengers. Does anybody have a manual for a 670cfm vac secondary Holley Avenger they can copy & send me? That would be very helpful. Holley has nothing on their website and doesn't even list the carb# in any of their tech docs.
A service rep said they would send me something, but that may take months.
