Do they really help out much with driving spiritedly around town??? I come to some pretty sudden stops and don't have the original pan (which had a small baffle splitting the pickup tube pickup from the pump, but am just running a standard pan and standard pickup tube now without baffles. Just rebuilt the engine, have a pan leak at the timing cover, and figure while I am at it, I might as well go for something a bit nicer now.
I am running a D/S dipstick tube. Anyone else running this in a C4 chassis? Know if you actually have to use the "Vette specific" part numbers? I can't really see why I would need to because there appears to be some good clearance underneath. Lemme know your thoughts. TIA, -Matt-
a trap door pan is a good investment on a corvette because hard braking from speed will cause the oil to leave the oil pump pickup and do this enough you could have bearing troubles. :chevy
