ZZ4 which starter?
The ZZ-4 has a 153 tooth flexplate, my old flexplate had 168 tooth ring gear, can I reuse my old starter, or do I need to buy a different starter? All the performance catalogs don't list a difference between the starters and say for 153 and 168 tooth.

I think you can probably reuse your old starter. I did at first when I put in my ZZ4. Later I got a starter for a '89 6speed Vette. That one is smaller and has the gear reduction so it starts great. It fits in around my headers better too.

You can reuse your starter but you have to change the housing (which you can get from GM). Starter housing for 153 tooth flywheels have the two bolts
straight across, and for the 168 tooth flywheel they are angled.
