Okay, I'm putting in a MSD pro billet dist, and a MSD blaster 2 coil. However we're not getting spark. As far as i know the coil is connected to a wire coming out of the firewall (which is hot on the tester) and a wire from the dist. (which is also hot), but we have no spark on three different coils so we must be missing something, please help.
on the side, we're biulding a budget motor from a 69 impala, its a 350 factory rated at 300 hp, 10=1 compression we put on an edelbrock performer manifold, long tube headers, holley 670 street avenger, and our msd setup, we will most likely get new heads soon and possibly self aligning roller rockers. Any Suggestions?
well, it's kinda too late. the only things we havnt bought already are the heads and the exhaust. actually i didnt buy them someone else did.
but damn, i need spark.
P.S. what numbers should i expect from this?
Um, power needs to flow from from a (12v) hot-in-run lead to the coil + : and from an ignition module (or ignitor module) to the coil - , which grounds the circuit as timed from the distributor.
Chris Jacobs has a prety good book about ignitions. Also try the MSD site mentioned above. BTW. MSD usually includes an instruction sheet with their parts.
