That appears to be too much slack for the number of miles driven. I take that you have a Cloyes true roller timing chain set up. Contact them and let their support personnel help you determine what length chain you actually need. They are good people, and I've never had a problem they couldn't resolve whether it was a race engine or street rebuild.

What kind of driving? Track car? Excessive acceleration and deceleration will stretch a chain sooner than expected. Improper align bore, there are shorter timing chains to solve this condition. But definitely call Cloyes.
