Default LS3 in a Resto-mod

I'm going to look at a Car for sale soon. The owner says the the late 1960's model has a LS3 in it with a 6 speed manual Tremec making 525 HP. I'm a noob when it comes to the LS3 and am wondering what mods it would take to get a LS3 to that kind of HP, so when I inspect the car I know what to look for to see if the claimed HP is even in the right ballpark. The car is naturally aspirated.
Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Yes the other fellow is right, GM Performance makes the 6.2 Liter 376 ci / 525 hp motor. Is a hot cam version of the motor in the C6 corvette. Its all aluminum and with a manual transmission fairly streetable. They have sold a ton of those motors and a lot seem to end up in Corvettes. I am working on a similar set up, currently, on my '67 Coupe. Also you'll want to do a search in the C2 Corvette forum.
