The only way I know to accomplish that is to put bullet style mufflers in the system... aka... glass paks.

What they do is knock down and or absorb the higher frequencies leaving a lower tone to prevail.

I get nice comments on my exhaust because of the this modification. My bullet mufflers are in the tunnel area with Flowmaster 40s out back.

Thanks for that Zrxmax. Does it negatively impact performance in any way?

Mufflers do very little either way just make it sound like you want.
What yr, engine?

Thanks for your response cuisinartvette

My car is a 2011 Grand Sport Callaway with the SC606 package.
Just concerned that changing the muffler would effect the performance.

I just put Borla ATAK on my 2013 SC606 and haven't noticed a change in performance. I went with the ATAKs for some sound enhancement so to speak. Callaway engineer told me axle backs really don't affect anything. I'm not sure I would change out a mid-pipe though.

Default Callaway Double D

I also have a Callaway and really like the sound, but want slightly louder and deeper. Was considering electric cutouts or the Corsa Double Helix (off road) - has anyone tried this on the Callaway tune and existing exhaust?
