Is it possible to install a 350ci block cam into, say a big block? Some aftermarket block manufacturers design there small block to accomodate a big block cam. I'm wondering if it is possible to retrofit it with a small block cam? TIA
No, I don't think so. If nothing else there is a big difference in length and spacing between cylinders as well as the order of valves in the heads.
What you are probably referring to is the use of big block size bearing journals in custom small blocks. This allows a larger lobe to physically pass through the hole as well as you can use a stronger cam core in a mega rpm high spring pressure deal.
