My 1990 Corvette didn't pass smog check in California. I bought the car with a Hypertech chip installed. Would it help to remove the Hypertech chip to reduce emissions to Cal standard? Any suggestions are appreciated.

post the readout that will help figure out whats wrong. I passed with one yrs ago but its getting tough. Current 88 is bone stock and barely passed.
