Default Engine balance question

Finally assembling my big block. So I had machine shop "A", internally balance my engine. 3 years later I had the clutch and pressure plate balanced with my flywheel, recommended at local machine shop "B". Now, I realize the new balancer machine shop A used is for external balance. Now i'm having to blow it back apart to drill holes and put better cam bearing in. Question is, should I trust machine shop A and B's balance to balance out? Or since it is apart again, should I take every thing back to B to check/rebalance? Can/did machine shop B balance just clutch and pp with the flywheel, that was balanced with crank, rods, pistons, balancer and not "upset" total engine balance?

Well, I’m trying to understand the whole thing here. If the damper/harmonic balancer that shop A used is external, your rotating assy is external balance, in the front anyway.
If your flywheel is nuetral balance, there should be no problem using that, on a balancing arbor, to then correct your new pressure plate balance as required.

My protocol on manual transmission assemblies is as follows, starting with internal balance;
1. balance crankshaft itself.
2. add flywheel, reprogram computer inputs required, make corrections on flywheel to balance.
3.add pressure plate, reprogram inputs as required, spin crankshaft assy, move pressure plate to position of best balance.
4. Correct pressure plate as required.
5. Index mark all pieces for proper for the installer to reference.

On external balance, it’s all the same, except I balance the crank, with flywheel and damper installed, then install and correct the pressure plate.

There are some videos here outlining different balancing procedures.
