easy cubic inch question
I don't know the answer, but I'm sure many of you guys do. How do you make a 427 and a 455. Are they both 400 small blocks?

Re: easy cubic inch question (castivers)
The only 455 that I've heard of is the B/O/P blocks. I had one with a 4bbl in a '74 Electra until a "friend" drove it around town in low gear all day while I had 4 wisdom teeth removed and he came back to the apartment with bald rear tires, a blown head gasket and a cracked block. :cuss :mad :cuss :mad
427s, obviously there's the stock Chev big block of that size, and yes, there is a 427 small block, surely there's someone here with one.
I've heard of 434 Chevy small blocks, even bigger with a Rocket small block.
My question is, what are you planning and will you need a roll cage???

Re: easy cubic inch question (bill mcdonald)
350 block bored 60 over and 4.125 stroker crank= 427 this will need to be Iron eagle or motown block to safely bore that much.
4.185 boreX4.125 stroke = 455 this is made from a 9.365 deck small block like the rocket block.

Re: easy cubic inch question (black bart)
Thanks for the info guys. I'm planning on some major mods within a year and trying to get my info straight in case I come accross some good deals along the way.
