CC'd Merlin Heads, before and after milling
I'm Working on my Merlin/World BB heads, and I thought I'd pass on a little info. Heads are 310cc CI Rect port, with "I-043C" cast below the left intake spring pocket.
We measured the original chambers and got 119 CC's
We milled and measured till we got 116CC's, it took .014 total
Just thought someone here may like that for reference....

Thanks, that's good info.
It backs up the general "rule of thumb" on most open chamber big block heads......1cc per .005 material removed.
But it's always good to see for real info!

Re: CC'd Merlin Heads, before and after milling (VetteLS6)
I included that info so people would know what casting I was working with.
The key is the suffix.......
B = 345cc chamber Rect
C = 310cc chamber Rect
D = 269cc chamber Oval
I'm spending a lot of time on the heads (God, are these Merlin castings heavy compaired to GM heads ! )
