I just went to watch my 1991 get dyno'd with the new fastburn 385. I also had them install a miniram III and a 58mm throttle body. The first pull indicated 249 hp and 275 ft-lbs. The second pull they connected a A/F meter and it got 244hp and 290ft-lbs. the A/F meter indicated a rich condition from 3600-4200 rpm and a lean condition at 5000-5400 (greater that than 13.0). I am little disappointed in these numbers I was hoping to get closer to 300 hp.The shop is getting a chip burned to correct the rich condition and seeing if they can improve the lean condition without larger injectors. I would appreicate any input you guys can provide. Does the horsepower and torque look correct for this motor or do I have other problems.
I dont know about Fast BUrns but Maybe your Mini Ram doesnot flow as much as everyone thought? OR somethings wrong with that dyno, try going to another dyno shop or a Dyno and see IF you get different numbers. I think their dyno is mest up. :yesnod:
are you using the stock 91 fuel pump? Stock engine was what? 240 HP? You now have an engine capable of 385HP? You should at least upgrade to an LT1 or LT4 fuel pump. You need to supply it with fuel. What size injectors are you running? Stock ignition? Headers? That engine needs to breathe

my brother's running a zz4 with a miniram and 52mm.
after a little prodding he tried a custom chip and 30lb injectors and can feel a difference now. you didn't say what injectors your running but 30 lb would be comfortable
We have determined that the stock fuel pump can not provide enough fuel above 5000. I am running the stock injectors which the shop says is adequate. I have not change to headers at this time. With the computer chip the HP has jumped to 260 with a lean condition above 5000. I have a high volume fuel pump on order from Eckler's I should have it Wednesday. After they install it, I will see where we are at on HP and Torque. :banghead:
