I am hunting up a C2 coupe for myself. I've determined that I may potentially be settling for a base model engine at 250 or 300 gross hp in order to get a car that is in better shape, overall, although I still hope I will come across a good deal L79 that fits my wants. Anyway.

Building pushrod V8s is fun, I've done it before, and a SBC is not a huge challenge. I like driving the engine that I built, and I can pickle an original engine and store it probably by buying a couple cases of beer for a buddy. If I wanted to source a 327 block to start my own build, where do you guys think is my best bet? It used to be I'd call a local junkwyard. Today that's good for a laugh and that's about it

You need to find a core seller, or company, for the quickest way to find it, but I see them on FB Marketplace from time to time, and Craigslist.
What state are you searching in ? Have you considered using a 350 block to build a 327, or are you looking for a correct block ?
