WPC Treatment
Has anyone either contemplated, or has had any WPC Treatment on any parts of an engine build? If so which parts (crank, pistons, cam, etc.)? Would you recommend it for a power added build? Also can you elaborate on weather the cost, and extended durability justified the means.

It's a metal treatment similar to shot peening with smaller projectiles at high velocity. It was developed in Japan. Here are a few links.

It's expensive, I've done an SBC roller camshaft a few years back and I think it was $180. Removed it last year and it was in fine condition with regard to the WPC treatment. Also some motorcycle parts (Ducati Superbike Desmo Valve Train) and it's holding up great, virtually no adjustment needed but I keep the revs reasonable.
