I'm looking at a set of Dart Pro 1 200cc heads. I was originally looking at AFR 195's, but these seem close in performance and less money (used), and they are also the exact combustion chamber size that I need, and straight plugs. The seller says that they have been "slightly ported", and that "there is one spot about 1/4" x 1/2" on an intake runner which was patched with epoxy when the intake runners were ported. (I'm told that this is common when porting the intakes)".
Is that true? What do you guys think is a good price for these? They are fully assembled with Manley SS valves, Crane springs, Titanium retainers & locks, Isky two piece guidplates and screw in 7/16" studs. Bare castings go for $840 a pair new.

And sometimes people put epoxy over places that are thin so you dont have to worrie about them....is it on the inside or on the outside most all head porters put it on the outside if it is just to make sure that it dont leak.

Well, I didn't get home in time to bid more, but it really doesn't matter. They went for a tad too much than I wanted to spend. It would be $40 to ship, and I'd still have to pay to have them machined to take 7/16" rocker studs, and buy the rocker studs... I'd end up spending $900 on used heads that don't flow quite as well as the AFR's that I want.
