Anyone have any experience with these heads? I love the design! But seems a bit much for a street engine (even 427+). Looking for opinions though, since I am not well educated on heads yet.
Thinking in the future of building a 427-468 small block for street and race use. Maybe twin turbo, still in infant stages on the drawing board... But would either take advantage of those heads on the street or would I be better off pushing the car from a stop :P
I have no experience with them but, have been researching the them. For a street motor you don't nedd anything over stock. The motor that you want to build is just that, it is a want and/or dream. So if you want / dream about it them go for it.
These heads flow great, there are the only heads that flows as much as they do with a 74cc chamber volume which will work well with a small block 468. Since a street motor should not go to or above .700 lift, with those flow numbers you would not need to. To make horsepower you need good flowing heads and these do qualify. The only possible problem is that 285 intake port. For a turbo charged motor it isn't a problem, for a NA I can't seem to find a definite answer as yet.
I would go for them if and when I build my next motor. I would like have a TT small block.
You should be able to pick them up for cheap if Brodix still makes them. I think that is the head that got banned in World of Outlaws racing this year.
