Default is this a good cam for TPI?

part #HR-276-2S-12 IG (hydrualic roller)

specs are: 214/222 .488/.509 112 LSA

looks like a good cam for a LTR setup... very similar to the ZZ9 from TPIS, and probably cheaper too. the only thing im worried about is Crane lists it as being an emissions cam but for cars without a computer. any idea why? alot of other cams are similar in spec, but ARE for computer controlled vehicles

but anyway, anyone using this cam?

The only thing I can think of is it's a retrofit HR and they make the assumption an early block didn't have a computer........?

I'm using the next one down on my 420 build, the 222/230 cam. I hope the cubes mellow it out for emissions :D

What are you building?

Not sure...but what I can tell you is that the hydrallic roller cam that LPE uses for his high-torque 350 cu. in TPI engines has the following specs:

211/219 0.499/0.525 112 LSA (LPE 74211)

He does recommand some high-flow runners to help raise the peak torque RPM and take advantage of the longer duration/lift over stock.
