I have a ZZ4 in my car. They are a very good short block. They are a 4 bolt main forged crank and GM pink rods. It will take a beating..
GM Pink rods? Whats that?

I have no idae why they call them pink but they are forged. That is the important thing...

Pink paint was used to mark to mark rods that had been magnafluxed and shotpeened for use in high performance small blocks. They were the same rods used in lower hp engines except for those extra steps. I don't know when they stopped doing that but I think it's been many years. Powdered metal forgings don't develop cracks like traditional forgings so the extra steps aren't needed when used in high hp uses.

So the Rods and Crank will accept more power better then the pistons which are not forged and probably wont last too long with a big shot of N20 or * or so PSI of boost right?

That is up to you. They should be fine with a 100 shot. as boost goess you will have to have lower compression..
