From: Pettis Performance 565 with two stages of Nitrous Supply nitrous 1.082, 4.61 at 155, 7.17 at 192
Nitrous and high compression motors
Helping a friend on his 420 in small block race motor. The motor is a 14.6 to 1 compression motor. It will see nothing but 110 + octane. Any special consederation when running NOS on this high of compression. I am thinking we should pull 6-8 degrees out of it for a 200 plate shot. We will not run any more than a 200 shot.
Any particular brand of gas we should try for a motor like this

Just because the compression ratio is 14.6 to one doesn't mean his cranking pressure is very high. Drag nitrous motors runs over 500horse of nitrous have no problems with this static compression ratio.
