Default Does it Exist ?? LT4 Double Roller ?

Is anyone aware of a double roller timing chain setup that would work with an optispark ignition system? Cloyes has a heavy duty chain and gearset but what I'm really looking for is something that is guaranteed to hold up to extreme spring pressures. (the electric water pump is already installed) Thanks!

I think the Cloyes Double roller timing chain part number is #3145. Note that if you have a Crank Position Sensor Reluctor (OBD II), it may not fit since the double sprocket uses up more room.

See ya,
John

I have heard that the '96 optisparks are driven off of a longer cam dowel pin as opposed to the earlier OBD1 cars which were driven off of a splined shaft from the center of the cam gear.

If the dowel pin is extended and the timing cover is updated to '96 specs... one would think that the double roller is possible. ??
