PS - if you're not going to use the stock intake, by ALL means stick to a hi perf dual plane like the Perf RPM or RPM Air Gap. Even a small runner single plane loses way too much torque under the torque peak and doesn't gain much hp over the torque peak compared to a good dual plane. even your stock intake would be better than a torquer type single plane esp. for daily driveability and throttle response.

I now will toss my Victor JR and 830 Holley on my 383 that lights the tires at 2k rpm and has cracking throttle response in favor of one of those killer dual planes :D I should probably get rid of the over 250 @ .050 solid lifter flat tappet cam while I'm at it since it has no low end power.

I don't think that your looking at this right. The addition stroke is more TQ accross the whole rpm range. It's really the cam that determines the motors operating range.
If you use the LT1 cam intake and heads. then just throw in a stoker crank and pistons it would becaome a relatively mild motor with peak Hp & Tq 300-500 rpm less. HP would stay about the same with a boost of probably 30 foot lbs.
