I too saw that show yesterday  Man I can't believe they're getting such large displacements in a small block package. They made slightly less than 700hp with it also with 23` heads. What a sweet setup

Re: 472" Small block, not a typo (SmokedTires)
My engine builder has been running these 472 small blocks for a while. His 67 vette has run a best of 6.60 @ 213.. Look for it in the near future in corvette fever. Cam Benty- Editor saw it @ super chevy and shot a feature. Smokin Fast!

I saw that too, I really wish they'd have gone into a bit more detail. But I'll hit the links here and fill in the blanks.

They are using a small block with a taller deck height than stock right?

secret cam specs, but did say solid roller.

Re: 472" Small block, not a typo (HWoods)
I just saw the HP-TV dyno test on the 472 ci small block. Something like 672 hp and 600 something TQ.
I really wasn't paying attention to the tv. That other site with the even bigger motor sounds interesting.

could be, i was just going by what i read on darts site, but that doesn't mean much. i could have the wrong part, they could be conservative, i'm not an expert, not enough info, too many variables.
