Oil pump bushing question
Here a stupid question for you guys. I'm kind of embarrased to ask, but where does that little plastic bushing supposed to go??? I replaced my rear main seal and in the package with the seal came a plastic oil pump bushing. I didn't pay much attention when I took out my oil pump but I didn't notice any type of plastic bushing. maybe the old one fell off, I don't know. Here's a nother question; Is it possible to have a metal bushing instead of a plastic one? My guess is this bushing goes on the oil pump drive shaft. My drive shaft has a similar shaped bushing but it's metal and is held on by a rivet. Is this it??? Did I answer my own question?? Sorry kind of long.....
