Brodix 18x are bad arssed. As far as I can tell the only trick part that they require are 18* pistons. The valve train, intake and exhaust are all standard I think. On another note, the 244cc intake volume is misleading because as the head is rolled out, the intake volume increase even if the port cross section remains the same.
I'd love to build a big inch small block with some of them.
Sorry for the delay in responding, I was out of town last week. You misunderstood my latest posts. I realize that with -20cc pistons you can get pump gas friendly compressions, I was just concerned that the only pistons I've seen in a 454 at -20cc have been full dish with little quench area.
I also haven't seen any other gasket than the Fel-Pro 1036 that is set for a 4.25" bore. The Fel-Pro 1036 has a .051" compressed height.
