Panchop, I've used Edelbrock carbs on several Mustangs over the years and they are dead on reliable. I've rebuilt and run Holleys also......but, I'll take a Carter AFB or Edelbrock any day for reliability and ease of maintenance. Although I don't recommend it, the AFB's and Edelbrock's design allows you to rejet the carb on the car.
Edelbrock's instructions for tuning the carb and their Performance Kits are truly very handy and easy to understand. At least they don't have power valves!!
Dont use them on a blower. Big mistake. They cant flow enuff fuel under boost. Panchop ,Not to be rude but you need to decide what you are building. Is it going to run or just look pretty.
not gonna hurt my feelings. the reason i seem so off base sometimes is my lack of knowledge about so much car stuff. i was a bike guy. Acting on the car bug is fairley new. On the other hand i am more of a go then show kinda guy. Still my BBC plan has evolved as i learned ( thanks to so many here and a couple other places) It is coming together now though and i think it will be a nice engine. Nobody here can tell me anything to simple as you all have way more expertise and experiance then i will probably accumulate anythime soon. i apreciate it.
thanks
greg
ps i went with an edelbrock on the 327 edelbrock RPM engine i built because it was so simple and i didn't want any tuning issues. on a solid roller, blower, BBC I just expect to be doing a lot of tweaking.
