Need specs on Speedpro CS1071R cam
My friend has a Chevy 383 small block with a Speedpro CS1071R, roller cam in his 1960 Corvette ( just bought).......... cant get it to idle smoothly.............it has 10 inches of vac at idle & idles rough , obviously its a high rpm camshasft & not a street grind >>> . any tech info on this cam will be appreciated...the Dog

CS1071R hydraulic roller cam
Cam series is Pro-5000. Idle quality is fair. Power range is 2500-6000. Duratuon at .050 lift 230-230, .006 lift is 306-306. Valve lift is 480-480. Lobe C/L 108 and overlap is 90

Oops-skimmed through that a little too fast. 108 lobe center will make it pretty lopey (low vacuum). Spreading it to, say a 112 would make a night and day difference. Car may not "hit" as hard, but will have an extended, or flatter power band.
