Default So how many Canadians are in this forum?

Interested in setting up a cruise meet in Toronto and the GTA? All cars are welcome, not just F-Body. If you're interested let me know where you're coming from and I can draw up a couple of different meeting places and routes.

Let me know if you prefer Saturday or Sunday for the meet.

You might have better luck in the regional section.

Yeah that's what I was thinking originally too, but, well, you know, this is a CORVETTE forum. But thank you for replying.

Hey Zeeman28a! Sounds like a good idea. I don't own an F-body at the moment. I've got a 99 Mustang GT, that I'm actually trying to sell for an F-body or C4 Vette. There is also a good website/club over at CCFBG. I went to a meet once and it was a lot of fun. Of course, that was when I had my previous car, a 96 SS, lol! I'm also located in Newmarket!

Nice to meet you firefighter. Mustang is a cool car as well.

Thanks for leading me to CCFBG. Have you considered the new Shelby Mustang GT500? Now that is one kick *** car. Or wait till the Shelby Mustang GT500KR. Almost 700HP at the RW. Wow!!!

See, this is why Camaro/Firebird died IMO. The SS is OK but there was no one that did these other types of performance mods for GM. Wouldn't it be nice if we could buy a Lingenfelter SS off the showroom floor or even, gasp, a Callaway SS. Whatever happened to the days of Yenko and COPO. And then there was the marketing. Last time I saw a Camaro on TV was in "Simon and Simon" and of course, "Knight Rider" had the Trans-Am, which Pontiac wanted nothing to do with. They couldn't even say Pontiac or Trans-Am in the show after that first episode.

How the heck did I get started on that rant????

See you over at CCFBG or maybe not. I didn't realize you have to pay to be able to post. I'll keep my eye on it for now but won't be posting there for a bit.
Stan.

Actually the GT500KR is only putting out 540 base hp not 700 at the wheels. You are thinking about the super snake, which is a GT500 going back to shelby and being tweaked to make between 650-700hp at the flywheel. And they do not warranty them either.

Ahh my mistake. I see what I did. When I was reading the article for the Super Snake, they were showing pictures of the GT500KR, which I thought was the super snake.

Thanks for setting me straight.

I hate to see the price tag on those super snakes though. The GT500 and GT500KR's are pretty high on their own.

Can't be any worse than the C6 Z06.
